Jaywalker #2 (well, the first sock on the second try) failed. I got it on my foot but can't get it past my heel. After a break, I'll give it one more try. I'm going to go up a needle size or two. I'm so mad. Yet again.
I started my mom's Christmas sock. Can't post pictures or talk too much about it, but if it turns out right, it's going to be way awesome. I already love the cuff. Did something I've never tried before with that. However, this is very slow going, so Mom may only get one sock for Christmas. Then I'll give her the second one next year. Or maybe even for Mother's Day!
In the meantime, my breaks at work are reserved for dishcloths for the rest of my family for Christmas. I've found some nice patterns, and I guess it's better than giving some people nothing because that's all we can really afford. I would work on the sock during my breaks, but it's way too complicated for that.
Have patience on my postings since I can't say much about Mom's socks until after she gets them, so the blog may be even quieter for a while. I guess I'll give dishcloth updates or something.
I did go into one of the local yarn stores this weekend just to see what they are like. They have a wide variety of supplies, but the yarn itself isn't that special. Mostly Berrocco, which I can't afford anyway. I'm glad I went in to see though.
That is all for now.
