I'm working on the sock still. Finally made a heel that actually fit. I also decided to make the short-rows a little wider, so I used about 55% of the stitches for the heel. The one fits better and looks nicer. Oh, and just to let you know how much I was off by when I did the last heel: I had finished the red stripe before the heel and hadn't started the yellow. It may not seem like much but boy did it make a difference. The colors show up better on the picture below. I really like this colorway.

Also, I have started the ankle patterns. I was thinking of doing a plain rid stitch all the way up so I didn't distract from the color, but I decided to do a curving rib-like stitch. It's a 3x3 rib that moves over one stitch each round. It looks kind of cool, but I'm already bored with it. Because I've already ripped out enough of this sock, I'm going to keep on. But do you think I should make the same one the same, with the curves going the opposite way, or should I try a totally different design (if so, I'm open to suggestions)? I really don't care if the socks match, so that's not a problem with me. Leave me a comment and tell me what you think. I'll post better pictures if the curves when I get farther.
